Before Adrio Romine’s passing, Adrio had been speaking to a person on Reddit who gave him instructions on “how to take his own life by suicide.”  Adrio had continued to dialogue with this adult for about 40 days. The predator was aware that Adrio was a minor at 17.

Adrio's mother spoke with four (4) law enforcement agencies (Oregon, California, Arizona) that including the FBI. This tragic event involved three jurisdictions. All four (4) agencies said "talk to your lawmakers. Our hands are tied and there is no law on the books that will allow us to arrest the adult." Adrio's mother sent over 300+ screenshots of these conversations to the police, they said "we find no evidence of bullying or coercion".

There is no law in the United States that prohibits an adult to instruct a minor about suicide. It is against the law in eight (8) other countries which include the European Union. The State of Arizona has the first Law in the United States making it Manslaughter to instruct a minor about how to die by suicide.

Paolla Jordan is Adrio's mother. She is the founder of The Laloboy Foundation. Mrs. Jordan will work hard to have the law changed. Mrs. Jordan does not want another family to be a member of her club. This is difficult, but a change in the law needs to happen.

Mrs. Jordan worked with Representative Jeff Weninger (Sponsor of bill HB2459) of Arizona to amend the manslaughter law. He is very passionate about keeping children safe in Arizona. HB2459 would make instructing a minor child about dying by suicide guilty of a class 2 felony in Arizona. Everyone in the House of Representatives and the Senate Committee worked together on this bill.
